The WESTWINDS brief |
|||||||||||||
This was pretty easy to come up with.... The proprieter, an able draughtsman himself, had drawn an image of a Pegasus to put on his letterheads and had been using this image for some years. However, he wanted to update it as it looked a little too classical for a freight company. I streamlined the image and we agreed that only the top half of the Pegasus should show above a cloud to further emphasise the concept of flight (although his trucks don't actuall fly!). The waves motif came later when the company went international. It may seem odd that the image of flight wasn't enough to imply international travel but the waves were. This is because the Pegasus logo had become familiar before Westwinds had ever left the country. Something new was required to drive home this new development. |
